BHBN in Birmingham celebrated 70 years on air in August with a series of celebrations.
Tuesday the 16th August was a very special day for BHBN Radio.
Trustee Dave Horton and member Stephanie Flynn spoke with Kath Stanczyszyn on BBC Radio WM about the station and it’s history. Then, BBC Midlands Today’s cameraman ‘Hutch’ pointing his camera at our studios featuring presenter Rich Pemberton. BBC Midlands Today’s Becky Wood went to Herberts Yard in Longbridge Birmingham and interviewed Secretary Sarah Morris & Programme Controller Colin Monnaf.
A great night followed and thanks to Herbert’s Yard for making us so welcome, the entertainers that travelled some miles from Derbyshire, Yorkshire and London to appear and our team in our red shirts promoting the station.
