Radio Brockley’s weekly news show features first hand accounts of the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital’s (RNOH) role in the battle against Covid 19.

Despite the current lockdown restrictions, HBA station of the year Radio Brockley continues to broadcast 24/7. Our dedicated members are still producing new content, including our weekly news show, Brockley News. These shows are providing RNOH’s patients, staff and visitors with up-to-date Covid-19 information-helping to keep those with limited free time or access to resources informed.

Alongside this content, the shows feature in-depth interviews with senior RNOH personnel. Whether adhering to social distancing in the studio, or using current communication tech, members including Keith Reeve and Alan Joyce are still able to talk to many front-line individuals.  This allows both medics and management to give insight into how the hospital has adapted its operations, as well as how these changes are being navigated and experienced by all those involved.

A recent edition (15/05/2020) features Anthony Gilbert, a physiotherapist who recently worked at the London NHS Nightingale hospital. Anthony described his experience of working within these unique environment, as well as his thoughts on the next few months. We are extremely grateful to him and all the other guests who have given up their precious time to speak to us about this unique time.

Other interviewees include Paul Fish (Deputy CEO and Chief Nurse), Lucy Davies (Chief Operating Officer), Michelle Hogkinson (Deputy Director of Organisational Development and Education), Adam Benton (Associate Medical Director), and Jon Berry (Head of Operations). The podcasts are available for anyone to download for free via your usual podcast source or radiobrockley.org.
