Radio station Bay Trust Radio is gearing up for one of the biggest weekends in the history of the station, with live music, guests and much more.
The team of volunteers, who broadcast to Lancashire and Cumbria from studios based in the Westmorland General Hospital in Kendal, are broadcasting live non-stop for 41 hours from 6am on Easter Saturday to raise funds for the charity.
Listeners will be treated to live performances from local musicians, special guests from across the region. There will also be chances to win prizes, including tickets to attractions, restaurants and other businesses on our doorstep.
The station can be heard inside the Westmorland General Hospital, Royal Lancaster Infirmary and is also available online through the website, as well as free iOS and Android apps.
John Williamson, Station President, said: “We are proud to be local and our excellent team of volunteers are from the local region.
The station receives no funding from the government or the NHS. Each year we must raise our own operating costs which are needed for our radio station to continue.
Our volunteers do a fantastic job and Easter Weekend will be a huge opportunity for everyone to hear what we do every day of the week.”
The team will also be posting regular updates on Facebook and Twitter (@baytrustradio) and on baytrustradio.org.uk
