Hospital Radio Bedford have,
in its forty-fifth year changed the charity status to that of a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) under the guidance of the HBA.
The new charity will be known as Bedfordshire Health Radio, charity registration number 1187406 but will continue to broadcast as Hospital Radio Bedford for the foreseeable future. The long term aim for the organisation is to develop into a Health and Wellbeing broadcaster serving north and Central Bedfordshire either via low powered DAB or FM dependent on availability and cost.
The station is now broadcasting over fifty hours per week of live programmes from its studios at Bedford Southwing Hospital, and have many events and OB’s planned to celebrate this significant year.
