Millside Hospital Radio

Millside Radio broadcast live in high quality stereo sound 24 hours a day from the Kings Mill Centre for patients in hospital and online.
You can listen to our shows totally free either through the bedside Hospedia units on Channel 5 or via the internet at millsideradio.co.uk.
Millside Radio is ran by a dedicated team of volunteers. The station is a registered charity and relies on fundraising and sponsorship to keep the service running.
In addition to our ward visiting team who regularly go around the wards looking for requests and supporting patients we are keen that you get involved with your hospital radio station.

Milton Keynes Hospital Radio

Milton Keynes Hospital Radio, the working name for Milton Keynes Hospital Radio Service, was established in 1984 and broadcasts to Milton Keynes University Hospital, 24 hours a day.
Approximately 20 people are involved in the day-to-day running of the station. Volunteers are always needed; you should contact the station directly if you are interested.

MY Radio

MY Radio, the working name for The Pontefract Featherstone and Castleford Hospital Commentaries Association, was established in 1967 and broadcasts to 2 hospitals.
Volunteers are always needed; you should contact voluntary services directly if you are interested.

New Forest Hospital Radio

New Forest Hospital Radio was established in 1978 and broadcasts to Lymington New Forest Hospital, 24 hours a day.
Regular request shows are also recorded and made available as podcasts or on memory stick for 6 local residential homes

Northern Air Hospital Radio

Northern Air Hospital Radio, the working name for Hospital Broadcasting Service (Radio HBS), was established in 1960 and broadcasts to 2 hospitals, 24 hours a day.

Northumberland Hospital Radio - NHR

Northumberland Hospital Radio was established in 1974 and broadcasts to 6 hospitals, 24 hours a day.

Volunteers are recruited through Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust Hospital Voluntary Service (HVS). However, you should contact the Station directly, in the first instance, to discuss current opportunities with the Charity. Nottingham Hospitals' Radio

Nottingham Hospitals' Radio, the working name for Nottingham Hospitals Radio, was established in 1974 and broadcasts to 2 hospitals, 24 hours a day.
Approximately 30 people are involved in the day-to-day running of the station. Volunteers are always needed; you should contact the station directly if you are interested.

Oakwell Hospital Commentaries

Established in 2019 with origins back to 1954 the station started as a football commentary service and established itself as a full service hospital radio station for over 60 years. The service is now a football commentary service only, broadcasting commentary and insight from Oakwell, the home of Barnsley Football Club for each home game.

Phoenix Hospital Radio

Phoenix Hospital Radio, a subsidiary of Burton Hospitals League of Friends, was established in 1988 and broadcasts to Queen's Hospital.

Pilgrim Hospital Radio

Pilgrim Hospital Radio was established in 1974 and broadcasts to Pilgrim Hospital, for a total of 15 hours each week.
