Radio Ysbyty Gwynedd supports BCUHB’s Welsh Language Learner of the Year 2024 Awards Ceremony

Radio Ysbyty Gwynedd, a registered charity, broadcasted live from Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board’s prestigious Welsh Language Learner of the Year 2024 Awards Ceremony recently.

Radio Ysbyty Gwynedd presenters Sarah Wynn, Wynne Roberts and Paul Hughes presented a 2-hour live programme, with presenters Sarah Wynn and Wynne broadcasting live from the awards at Oriel Hotel, St Asaph.

The BCUHB Welsh Language Learner of the Year 2024 awards were established to further encourage, reward and celebrate the inspirational staff at the health board who have started their journey to learn Welsh, or have continued on their journey to learn Welsh.

In 2016, Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board was the first health board in Wales to appoint their own Welsh Language Tutor, testament to the Health Board’s commitment and enthusiasm for Learning Welsh.

BCUHB, which employs approximately 17,000 staff, offers staff Welsh tuition 1:1, small departmental courses, general classes provided across north Wales and at all levels of abilities, as well as on-line courses, intensive and residential courses.
