Over the last five months, Radio Glamorgan (RG) volunteers have been mostly recording shows from home, doing their best to keep patients and staff entertained during the Covid-19 Pandemic.

Lots of discussions have been had (remotely), clear guidance has been issued and precautions have been put in place for safety and we’re pleased to say that Saturday 5th September will see live broadcasting return from the studios within the heart of the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff.

Chairman of Radio Glamorgan, Jamie Pritchard, said:

“For every one of us, 2020 has been a real challenge physically and mentally. But the last few months, volunteers have knuckled down and produced content which has been engaging and entertaining for those choosing to listen to us and the feedback has been brilliant to read and share too.

It’ll be great to hear live shows once again and patients being able to interact through our social channels and our new look website as well.

We have a packed schedule this coming weekend which will see a variety of programmes broadcast after nearly six months away, I just hope the volunteers remember what button does what!”
