2018 has been a very busy year for the Hospital Broadcasting Association. Earlier this year, we held our training Roadshow in Glasgow whilst in March and our Annual Conference and National Hospital Radio Awards in Windsor, where we celebrated the fantastic talent and dedication of our member stations and their volunteers.
Our member stations have also helped us create our vision and mission statement. We are an organisation that continues to support, inform, represent and develop, hospital, health and wellbeing broadcasting and broadcasters across the UK.
Throughout the year HBA has actively represented hospital broadcasting though submissions to consultative papers – ensuring our voice is heard; not just across the broadcasting industry but across the healthcare sector. We aim to strategically increase this representation in the coming year.
We have continued to provide advice and guidance to our member stations through our network of specialist advisors. We also celebrate and recognise the many years of long standing service within hospital broadcasting, whilst guiding member stations to identify and address the future of hospital radio across the healthcare and wellbeing sector.
On behalf of the Trustees, I would like to thank you for your continued support to hospital broadcasting and wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy and prosperous new year.
Best wishes,
Grant McNaughton
Chairman
