Winchester Radio is celebrating a licence extension for their FM health and wellbeing community radio service, approved recently by Ofcom.

The station has been broadcasting to patients in the Royal Hampshire County Hospital since 1984 via the bedside. Winchester Radio launched its health and wellbeing community radio on FM service in March 2019, and are now licensed to broadcast on 94.7FM across Winchester and the surrounding villages until March 2029. 

Listeners can also tune in to Winchester Radio on small-scale DAB in the wider Winchester area, and also online here.
